Job Summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a skilled Medical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Documentation Specialist, you will work closely with physicians and mid-level providers to provide continued patient-centered care in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately document patient information and medical records
  • Provide administrative support to healthcare providers
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of electronic health records
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or Medical Transcriptionist
  • High School Diploma (GED) with related experience and post-high school courses in Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Anatomy/Physiology
  • Accurate typing or data entry skills
  • Demonstrated skills with Windows-based programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication, anatomy, including correct spelling
  • Experience with medical office and/or medical records documentation preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, both speaking/writing, preferred
