POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Patient Access Manager, the Patient Financial Advisor is responsible for offering financial guidance to patients while managing their registration, verifying insurance coverage, and overseeing payment collections. This position demands excellent communication abilities and the capacity to operate independently in a dynamic work setting.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Accurately and efficiently register patients.
- Collect and enter patient information with attention to detail.
- Manage cash transactions and uphold financial documentation.
- Confirm insurance benefits and assess patient financial responsibilities.
- Guide patients through financing alternatives and payment arrangements.
- Effectively communicate with patients and healthcare personnel.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Training: Must be proficient in basic mathematical computations.
Certification: Hometown Health Certifications are mandatory.
Experience: Prior experience in customer service or patient registration is preferred.
