Insurance Support Specialist

Position: Insurance Support Specialist

Location: Melville, NY

Department: Commercial Services (Auto Dealer Division)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits and endorsements in accordance with company protocols
  • Generate insurance documentation such as certificates, endorsements, loss history reports, and vehicle identification cards
  • Establish and maintain client service activity records, including electronic filing, scanning, and copying of necessary documents
  • Assist with various support tasks as needed
  • Prepare applications utilizing Microsoft Excel
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with service performance and quality benchmarks
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve related objectives as required

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: One year of experience in an insurance agency
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow instructions from various Account Managers and Producers
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities
  • Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel for data entry and formatting
  • Occasional travel between offices for training or mandatory meetings may be necessary
  • Preferred educational background: College degree
  • Brokers license is required and can be obtained post-hire
