Job Responsibilities:
The Collections Associate I plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of Mediacom Bolt by engaging with clients regarding overdue accounts and facilitating payment solutions to prevent service interruptions. Key responsibilities include:
- Processing payments and updating customer accounts accurately.
- Communicating with clients about potential service disruptions due to non-payment.
- Maintaining precise records of collections and account statuses.
- Supporting the payment center to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Establishing payment arrangements and ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
- Monitoring aged balance reports and managing collections of returned checks.
- Evaluating customer needs to propose suitable payment options within company policies.
- Collaborating with other departments to resolve billing or service-related issues.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mathematical skills for problem-solving.
- Strong listening, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in customer service is advantageous.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in PC-based applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software.
