The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in supervising accounting personnel and supporting the CFO with controller responsibilities. The Financial Operations Manager will be an integral part of our established, market-leading organization. The selected candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, be approachable, fully engaged, and willing to assist other departments with their accounting and finance inquiries. This collaborative team player will oversee the Company's general ledger system, reporting, and financial policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of four staff accountants,
  • Take ownership of the Company's ERP System,
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by adhering to sound accounting practices,
  • Manage daily operations related to cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, collections, payroll, perpetual inventory, and fixed asset transactions,
  • Oversee commercial banking relationships,
  • Collaborate with external auditing firms, lessors, insurance agents, and credit card companies as necessary, and
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA certification preferred but not mandatory,
  • A minimum of five years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing,
  • At least three years of supervisory experience,
  • Proficient in an ERP System, preferably Sage MAS 100.

Supervisory Role: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance department.

Work Environment: This position operates in a standard office setting, utilizing typical office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type: This is a full-time role with standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required based on job responsibilities.

Travel Requirements: Minimal to none.

Additional Qualifications: Candidates must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
