Job Summary

The Debit Card / EFT Payments Lead plays a crucial role in supporting the Debit Card / EFT Payments Manager by ensuring the smooth operation of the Bank's Debit Card systems. This position involves detailed knowledge of card processing, fraud monitoring, and adherence to regulatory standards, with a focus on executing service improvements and risk mitigation strategies.

This role is essential in supporting the Debit Card / EFT Payments Manager and maintaining the integrity of the bank's Debit Card operations, providing a secure transaction environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Bank's Debit Card services, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Card Processing Expertise: Support the knowledge base of card processing systems, including dispute resolution and regulatory compliance, to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Fraud Monitoring and Prevention: Help monitor fraud trends and work with the team to develop solutions to prevent fraudulent activities, minimizing financial losses and maintaining customer trust.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Provide direction, coaching, training, and on-going development opportunities for the Debit Card / EFT team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Participate in the analysis of fraud risks and contribute to strategic recommendations to reduce financial losses, ensuring the bank's Debit Card operations remain secure and compliant.
  • Cash Management and Reconciliation: Aid in the cash management process and ensure terminal balancing is accurate, maintaining the integrity of the bank's financial records.
  • Transaction Reconciliation: Assist in the reconciliation of daily transactions across the bank's networks and surcharge systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Loss Prevention and Compliance: Contribute to the development and implementation of loss prevention strategies and identify areas for improvement, ensuring the bank's Debit Card operations remain compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Support collaboration with Compliance, Risk Management, and Community Banking to manage card fraud and security risks, ensuring a unified approach to risk mitigation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Help monitor performance against SLAs and ensure system uptime, maintaining the bank's Debit Card systems in optimal working condition.
  • Policies and Procedures: Contribute to the creation and enforcement of policies and procedures, ensuring the bank's Debit Card operations remain compliant and efficient.
  • Fraud Trend Monitoring: Remain vigilant of fraud trends, collaborating with internal teams and external partners for effective resolution, minimizing financial losses and maintaining customer trust.
  • Payment Platform Knowledge: Knowledge of other payment platforms like Zelle, RTP, and BillPay is advantageous, enabling the bank to stay ahead in the evolving payments landscape.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Provide high priority to customer satisfaction, ensuring the bank's Debit Card operations remain customer-centric and responsive to their needs.
  • Associate Development: Assess and coach associates while providing constructive feedback to increase overall effectiveness and ensure accountability, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Code of Conduct: Adheres to Seacoast Bank's code of conduct, upholding the bank's values and principles in all aspects of Debit Card operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 3+ years Banking experience; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: PC proficient, including MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Seacoast Bank Experience: Seacoast Bank experience a plus.
  • Card Services and Fraud Detection: Prior experience in card services and fraud detection helpful.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Compliance and Operational Standards: Commitment to maintaining compliance and operational standards.
