Director of Programming Job Description

Eckerd Connects is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Programming. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for at-risk youth, implementing evidence-based practices, and supervising staff to achieve successful reunification with their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Group Managers to ensure individualized service plans, transition planning, and discharge summaries are completed for all youth enrolled in the program.
  • Manage schedules to maintain required staff-to-client ratios, ensuring compliance with contractual and licensing standards.
  • Ensure newly admitted youth receive prompt and supportive orientation, and all necessary screenings and assessments are completed during the intake phase.
  • Participate in re-assessments of youth with the Service Team when they are not responding to completion of service plan goals.
  • Evaluate implementation of evidence-based activities and document any strengths and deviances from the fidelity model.
  • Ensure integration of evidence-based practices, behavioral management system, educational programming, and restorative justice principles.
  • Assist in developing and providing final referral to the Quarterly Master Schedule to ensure all educational, behavioral, and mental health activities/sessions are documented and posted.
  • Serve as a member of the program's Leadership Team, collaborating for overall success of the operation, including program development and enhancement, safety and security of youth and staff, back-up support, fund development, staff development and training, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, behavioral science, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of progressively responsible work with at-risk adolescents and families required. Minimum of three years of direct staff supervision required.
  • Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
