About the Role

Eckerd Connects is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team in a residential program for at-risk youth. As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality treatment services to our clients, who have a history of substance use, trauma, and current mental health diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Treatment Services: Provide individual and group therapy sessions to up to 40 male clients, incorporating evidence-based models and interventions.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with case management, education, and residential teams to support client success and provide a comprehensive treatment approach.
  • Conduct Assessments: Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, trauma-screenings, and threat assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Facilitate Groups: Lead clinical groups to up to 10 clients at a time, focusing on topics such as substance use prevention, grief and loss, and emotional management.
  • Document Client Progress: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicate with Families and Stakeholders: Maintain regular contact with families, legal guardians, and referral agencies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist.
  • Experience: Two years of progressive clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary treatment setting, with a focus on juvenile populations and evidence-based practices.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
