Mental Health Therapist

Eckerd Connects is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team in our Adolescent Residential Program. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality treatment services to our clients, who are male youth aged 13-17, referred by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Division of Juvenile Justice.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Quality Treatment Services: Provide individualized treatment services to up to 40 clients, including comprehensive clinical assessments, trauma-screenings, and threat assessments.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with case management, education, and residential teams to support client success and provide a comprehensive treatment approach.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating internal and external collateral information, and ensure timely completion of all clinical documentation.
- Facilitate Clinical Groups: Lead clinical groups, incorporating topics such as substance use prevention, grief and loss, and emotional management, to up to 10 clients at a time.
- Coordinate Crisis Care: Screen and coordinate crisis care for clients in need of involuntary commitment or crisis stabilization, and provide on-call clinical duty/consultation as needed.
- Provide Psychiatric Coordination: Coordinate all treatment regarding psychiatric issues, ensuring referrals, observations, appointments, and documentation are completed within Eckerd policies and contract guidelines.
- Licensure: Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist is required.
- Experience: Two years of progressive clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary treatment setting is required, with prior experience with juvenile treatment populations preferred.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and drive for business purposes are required.

Our Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential program is a comprehensive rehabilitative experience delivered in 4 to 6 months to 40 adjudicated male youth, ages 13 to 17, referred by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Division of Juvenile Justice.
