Mental Health Therapist

Eckerd Connects is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team in our Adolescent Residential Program. As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality treatment services to our clients, who are male youth aged 13-17, referred by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Division of Juvenile Justice.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Quality Treatment Services: Provide individualized treatment plans, group therapy sessions, and behavioral interventions to up to 40 clients, addressing their mental health and substance use needs.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with case management, education, and residential teams to ensure a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to client care.
- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments, trauma screenings, and threat assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Facilitate Clinical Groups: Lead group therapy sessions, incorporating topics such as substance use prevention, grief and loss, and emotional management, to support client growth and development.
- Maintain Accurate Documentation: Complete and implement all clinical documentation, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of client progress and treatment plans.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain regular contact with families, legal guardians, and referral agencies, incorporating key stakeholders into the treatment planning process.
- Licensure: Possess licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist.
- Experience: Two years of progressive clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary treatment setting, with prior experience working with juvenile populations preferred.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, and ability to maintain licensure and certification requirements.
