Position Title: Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: North Highlands, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Summary: The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to facilitate the evaluation and treatment of individuals with speech, language, and communication challenges. This role is essential in executing therapy strategies and aiding clients in reaching their communication objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support SLPs in the execution of tailored therapy programs.
- Conduct therapy sessions for individuals or small groups, adhering to established guidelines.
- Track and document patient advancements, communicating results to supervising SLPs.
- Prepare and arrange resources for therapy activities and exercises.
- Assist clients in practicing and utilizing communication techniques.
- Engage with families and caregivers to offer education and support resources.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related discipline.
- State certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Preferred experience in clinical or educational environments.
