Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Sebring Opco LLC. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and develop speech and language therapy programs to meet the needs of our residents.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify residents' speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address residents' speech and language deficits.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to residents.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents.
  • Document residents' progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition for residents.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing care facility.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to move intermittently throughout the workday and to assist residents as needed.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing situations. The Speech Language Pathologist will be required to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays as needed.

Performance Evaluation Criteria
  • Assists in standardizing methods for therapy services.
  • Develops and maintains speech therapy standards.
  • Participates in discharge planning and development of resident care plans.
  • Conducts therapy screens to determine need for services.
  • Maintains treatment records and resident files.
Education and Experience

A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field is required. A minimum of two years of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility is preferred.

Physical and Sensory Requirements

The Speech Language Pathologist must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and to assist residents as needed. The ability to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner is required. The Speech Language Pathologist must be able to cope with the mental, emotional, and physical stress of the position.
