The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Operations Manager to join our team in the New York area. The successful candidate will be responsible for training, supervising, and monitoring the work activities of employees and clients. They will also be responsible for analyzing, establishing, or adjusting work schedules to ensure completion of job assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide labor on short notice to meet client needs
  • Recommend improvements to cleaning methods and quality of service
  • Interpret department procedures and enforce safety regulations
  • Communicate effectively with employees, clients, and management
  • Manage and maintain equipment and supplies
  • Develop and implement schedules to meet client needs
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure quality of service
  • Handle special projects and assignments as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in a supervisory role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in floor maintenance, window cleaning, and general cleaning
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency situations
  • Knowledge of commercial janitorial operations, including staffing, progressive discipline, sectioning, and computerized payroll
  • Proficient in the use of smartphones and iPads for inspections and communication
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull 30 pounds or more
  • Knowledge of Excel and basic math

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Professionalism and flexibility to adapt to changing situations
  • Residing in New Jersey is preferred
  • Spanish or Eastern European proficiency is a plus
