Position Overview

The Clinical Behavior Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of our Behavioral Management Services team, including the Behavioral Management Assistants (BMA) assigned to the team. This role involves the development and guidance of various intervention strategies tailored for consumers and their caregivers or family members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute functional behavioral assessments and intervention plans for consumers within their caseload.
  • Collect and analyze data using tools such as scatter plots and ABC Data Sheets, and create graphs and summaries of findings. Integrate this information into the consumer's Behavioral Intervention Plan and continuously monitor progress towards established objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with company executives, Behavioral Management Assistants, regional center personnel, consumers, and their families/caregivers in the creation and execution of behavioral intervention plans.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Behavioral Management Assistants and other team members who are accruing hours towards BCBA licensure.
  • Deliver regular updates to the executive team and relevant stakeholders (Service Coordinators, Probation Officers, etc.) regarding consumer progress and make necessary adjustments to intervention plans to ensure they meet consumer needs and preferences.
  • Offer guidance, support, and training to Behavioral Management Assistants working with shared consumers.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, typically held weekly.
  • Adhere to confidentiality regulations and practices in all tasks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to consumers, their families/caregivers, regional center staff, and other involved parties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed as a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) or possess a license as a psychologist, LCSW, LPCC, and/or LMFT.
  • At least one year of experience in designing and implementing behavior modification intervention services is required.
  • Preferred: A minimum of one year of supervisory or management experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, grip, pull, and push.
  • Must be able to independently evacuate from potential hazards.
