Join us in a rewarding role as a Senior Accountant within the wine sector. We are a leading entity in the manufacturing domain, committed to delivering outstanding wines.

This is a permanent, full-time role that necessitates onsite work.

The successful candidate will oversee financial analysis, cost accounting, general ledger management, insurance renewals, production expenses, and compliance with federal and state excise taxes across various entities.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be integral to our financial operations.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the accounting functions of multiple entities, focusing on their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and established policies and procedures.
  • Managing all facets of the general ledger, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  • Conducting intricate financial analyses to identify critical business issues, performance metrics, and decision-making points.
  • Overseeing insurance renewals and managing compliance with federal and state excise taxes.
  • Evaluating production costs and pinpointing opportunities for cost reductions.
  • Utilizing NetSuite software for effective financial management and operations.
  • Establishing and maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
  • Forecasting and planning future financial activities for the organization.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the wine sector.
  • Extensive experience in managing multiple entities and handling complex financial analyses.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting and general ledger management.
  • Experience with insurance renewals and federal and state excise tax management.
  • Proficiency in using NetSuite software or equivalent financial management tools.
  • Strong forecasting and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
