Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Resident Monitor to join our team at Community of Hope. As a key member of our Housing Program, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor community areas within the building, including the lobby, phone room, and exterior areas, to prevent loitering and maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to security camera alerts and address any issues that may arise.
  • Answer phone calls in a professional and respectful manner, transferring calls and providing information as needed while maintaining resident confidentiality.
  • Ensure that visitors, volunteers, and outside agency representatives are signed in and out, documenting their arrival and departure in the shift log.
  • Conduct curfew checks each night, knocking on unit doors and documenting the presence of residents.
  • Fill out incident reports to document unusual and difficult incidents involving residents or facility issues.
  • Enforce program rules and regulations, using program staff and police as backup when necessary.
  • Offer additional assistance to residents as needed or requested, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability required.
  • Ability to utilize computer software, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Mail.
  • Ability to handle emotional situations with compassion and maturity.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies.
  • Ability to act responsibly, professionally, and use good judgment under pressure.
