**Job Title:** Part-Time Resident Monitor

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Resident Monitor at Community of Hope. As a Resident Monitor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, enforcing program rules, and providing assistance as needed.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Adhere to all policies and expectations outlined in the Resident Monitor Handbook
  • Monitor community areas within the building, including the lobby, phone room, and exterior areas, to prevent loitering and address any issues that may arise
  • Answer phone calls in a respectful and pleasant manner, transferring calls and providing information as needed while maintaining resident confidentiality
  • Ensure that visitors, volunteers, and residents are signed in and out when arriving and leaving, and document this information in the shift log
  • Complete curfew checks each night by knocking on unit doors and documenting who is in the unit
  • Email and/or call the Program Director and/or Case Manager as appropriate regarding outside agency visits
  • Fill out incident reports to document unusual and difficult incidents involving residents or facility issues
  • Inform residents of program rules and regulations and enforce them, using program staff and police as backup in difficult cases
  • Offer additional assistance to residents as needed or requested by the resident or staff

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively preferred
  • Punctuality and reliability required
  • Ability to utilize computer software such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Mail
  • Ability to handle emotional situations with compassion and maturity
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies
  • Ability to act responsibly, professionally, and use good judgment under pressure
  • Ability to write shift and incident reports in detail
  • Experience working in a residential environment preferred
  • Experience working with the homeless population preferred
