Position Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer within the Intelligent Business Growth division, you will be responsible for architecting, coding, and implementing AI-driven data decision platforms. Your expertise will ensure that our systems are scalable and efficient through innovative technical solutions and solid system design.

The Intelligent Business Growth team enhances the financial planning process by leveraging a comprehensive suite of AI functionalities, transforming decision-making at every stage.

The company is dedicated to providing a curated selection of items and advancing technologies and services such as Scan & Go, Club Pickup, and home delivery in select regions. Additionally, Sam's Club offers a variety of services including travel, auto purchasing, pharmacy, optical, hearing aid centers, and tire and battery services.

Key Responsibilities:

In this pivotal role, you will focus on developing AI-powered data decision platforms for Sam's AI systems. Your primary tasks will include:

  • Designing, coding, testing, and deploying technical solutions utilizing BDD/TDD methodologies and agile testing frameworks.
  • Engaging in code and design reviews to uphold high development standards.
  • Crafting system architecture to guarantee scalability, reliability, and performance while building REST APIs, microservices, and data flows.
  • Creating data models in SQL (MS SQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, Graph DB), while developing solutions, frameworks, and tools for Sam's Club AI Labs.
  • Architecting and designing solutions to address performance bottlenecks and enhance automation efficiency.
  • Building tools and portals by leveraging your full-stack expertise.
  • Developing proof of concepts, prototypes, and experiments.
  • Overseeing operations, monitoring, and maintenance of hosted services, products, reports, and analytics to ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience along with the following qualifications:

  • 8+ years of strong programming skills in Java/Python for service development, and SQL/No-SQL.
  • 5+ years' experience in software design and programming languages, including Java, Python (using Flask/FastAPI), and JavaScript.
  • 5+ years' experience with software build management tools such as Maven, Gradle, or similar.
  • 5+ years' experience with software testing, performance, and quality engineering techniques and strategies.
  • 4+ years' experience in cloud technologies like Azure or GCP.
  • 3+ years' experience in HTML, CSS, and frontend/web development.
