Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Manage the entire contract negotiation process, from initial request and review through negotiation and execution, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Contract Review and Analysis: Review, redline, analyze, and negotiate a wide range of software-related contracts, including software licensing agreements, partner agreements, master service agreements, and NDAs.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and assess potential risks associated with contractual terms, ensuring that contract terms are fair, reasonable, and aligned with the company's risk appetite.
  • Business Acumen and Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of Rocket's business, products, markets, customers, and partners in order to identify trends and formulate effective compliance strategies.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Interprets contracts and coordinates with legal staff for guidance, ensuring that accurate database and documents are maintained.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications: 7-10 years of experience with technology sales, licensing, and procurement transactions and related distributor, reseller, cloud computing, and software product and services agreements.
  • Education and Certifications: BA/BS, and preferably a Masters or equivalent in a related field.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and preferably Japanese.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong understanding of software contracts, licensing models, and service agreements.
