Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team in a critical role supporting operators at the Nine Mile Gas Plant. As a Mechanic, you will play a key part in maintaining and repairing plant equipment, utilizing your expertise in operating and maintaining complex machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fixed and rotating equipment, including internal combustion, diesel, and natural gas powered engines and electrical drivers
  • Service, troubleshoot, maintain, install, and repair structural, mechanical, electrical, and well equipment
  • Conduct performance analyses, including emissions testing and data analysis
  • Order and secure parts and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and inventory management
  • Maintain, prepare, and interpret reports and records, including work logs, inspection reports, and engine/equipment maintenance and repair records
  • Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles, adhering to safety protocols
  • Respond to emergency situations and ensure the safety of yourself and others

Requirements

  • Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and equipment applicable to the position
  • Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, with a focus on mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of company and/or governmental operating/safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and percentages
  • Ability to communicate and/or exchange information and instructions effectively
  • Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others

Working Conditions

  • Employee is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including well-lighted, climate-controlled areas and outdoor weather conditions
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, prolonged exposure to vibration, high-pitched noises/loud noises, unprotected heights, and frequent repetitive motion
