Job Summary

ELLSWORTH CONSTRUCTION LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer job sites to diagnose and repair heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including removing and installing parts, disassembling and reassembling components, and testing and adjusting repairs
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized service truck
  • Assist with the pickup and delivery of parts
  • Attend factory and other training as specified by supervisor
Requirements
  • Preferred experience in heavy equipment repair
  • Strong knowledge of John Deere equipment, Bobcat, Komatsu, and other manufacturers of heavy equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and instructions
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
