Job Title: VMware Zabbix Systems Administrator

GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled VMware Zabbix Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our server infrastructure, including hardware, operating systems, and utilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, deploy, maintain, and support servers, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows.
  • Assist with server restorations, application installations, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide migrations, performance tuning, analysis, and support of infrastructure and internal hardware.
  • Configure and monitor systems, including centralization of courts and replication, and provisioning virtual servers and service management of all related Virtual Machines (VMs).
  • Monitor databases and support the Infrastructure environment.
  • Analyze and fix performance issues related to networking and OS, and provide application upgrades.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience, or commensurate experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of the job, including a complete understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job, and its application.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, with imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent solutions.
  • Work independently, with minimal supervision, and contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects.
  • Desirable skills include virtualization experience (VMware), system monitoring experience (Zabbix), demonstrated effective project management, Linux system administration skills, network knowledge, database administration skills, and knowledge of Windows and ActivePowerShell script.
