Quadtec Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled VMware System AdministratorEngineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented individual to design, implement, and manage our VMware environment, including Datacenter cluster(s) and managed by vCenter. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware Virtualization, Linux System Administration, and Database Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage VMware environment, including Datacenter cluster(s) and managed by vCenter.
  • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, including performance tuning, analysis, and support of infrastructure.
  • Assist with restorations, application installation, testing, Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Provide migrations, performance tuning, analysis, and support of infrastructure, and internal hardware.
  • Provide configuration management and system monitoring.
  • Responsible for centralization of courts and replication, and provisioning virtual servers and service management of all related Virtual Machines (VMs).
  • Provide monitoring of databases, and supporting the Infrastructure environment.
  • Analyze and fix performance issues related to networking and OS and provide application upgrades.
  • Responsible for configuration management, monitoring, and maintenance of all hosted servers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's with 5 -8 years (or commensurate experience)
  • Considerable knowledge of the job, including VMware Virtualization, Linux System Administration, and Database Administration.
  • Extensive experience with VMware Virtualization, Linux System Administration, and Database Administration.
  • Minimally, VCA Data Center (and/or Cloud) certification.
  • Demonstrated Linux System Administration skills (RHCE preferred).
  • Demonstrated effective project management; Database Administration Skills (Preferred: MS SQL and Linux SQL).
  • Knowledge and working experience with Windows (Preferred 2008 later versions) and Active Directory.
  • Network knowledge, skills, and demonstrated experience in a complex network data center.
  • Bash and PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Clearance Required: Must be able to acquire and maintain Public Trust.
