Role Summary

As a Strategic Development Associate, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the department's objectives and strategies. Collaborating with the firm's experts, you will support the overarching business development and expansion initiatives, alongside various administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage leads effectively within Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with client teams to follow up on leads and facilitate deal closures; assist in organizing sales meetings and appointments.
  • Monitor requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify potential clients and sectors.
  • Support lead generation efforts.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and connect stakeholders with quality prospects.
  • Identify and coordinate sponsorship, speaking, and promotional opportunities.
  • Determine necessary sales enablement materials and strategies for development.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on effective business development practices and articulating the firm's brand positioning.
  • Encourage partner engagement in civic and professional organizations to enhance brand visibility.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, attending events as required.
Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Over 2 years of experience in business development within accounting, professional services, or B2B sectors.
  • Proficient in Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with Responsive (formerly RFPIO).
  • Insight into the business challenges in the accounting and professional services fields.
  • Experience in marketing and/or market research.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market research.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the firm's service offerings.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally.
