Job Title: Regional Vice President, Ambulatory Physician and APP Services Leader

Join MaineHealth Medical Group, Northern New England's largest medical group, in seeking an experienced and collaborative physician leader for its Regional Vice President of Ambulatory Physician and APP Services for the Coastal Region.

About the Role:

The Regional Vice President of Ambulatory Physician & APP Services, Coastal Region (Regional VP) partners in a dyad relationship with the Regional Vice President of Ambulatory Operations, Coastal Region on clinical care, access, operations, quality, strategy, patient experience, care team engagement and finances for the medical group's Coastal Region.

The Coastal Region is one of three established MaineHealth regions. The Regional VP will work closely with its two peer Regional dyads in the Mountain Region and Southern Region.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of regional medical group practice quality performance, in collaboration with other regional medical group leaders, service line leaders and CMOs to ensure a fully integrated health system.
  • Partner with the Regional Vice President of Ambulatory Operations, Coastal Region on clinical care, access, operations, quality, strategy, patient experience, care team engagement and finances.
  • Work closely with the Regional dyads in the Mountain Region and Southern Region.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve quality and performance in the Coastal Region.
  • Collaborate with other regional medical group leaders, service line leaders and CMOs to ensure a fully integrated health system.
Requirements:
  • MD/DO degree or equivalent.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Maine, Board Certification in clinical area.
  • Ten years of progressive and relevant leadership roles in healthcare required.
  • Physician practice leadership experience required.
  • Provider full cycle recruitment and auditing experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide direction and inspire people to accomplish organization goals.
  • Strong focus and demonstrated interest in quality and performance in outcomes.
  • Clinical credibility.
  • Ability to understand and appreciate the differences and similarities of clinical practice across the MHMG practice entities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated communication skills.
  • Broad understanding of management and finance.
