Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President of Cardiovascular Services to lead our cardiovascular service line. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare leadership and a proven track record of success in strategic planning, program development, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic planning efforts to advance and support the cardiovascular service line
  • Collaborate with physician dyad partners to develop and implement quality and value initiatives
  • Provide operational oversight and accountability for key disease site specific clinical and supportive care programs
  • Develop and implement initiatives to support the delivery of care across the continuum in a highly coordinated fashion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community-based practices and partners, MaineHealth members, and MaineHealth affiliates
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in a related field (MBA, MHA, RN, MA or MS)
  • Five years of progressive senior administrative leadership experience directly in healthcare, preferably cardiovascular
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with senior management, physicians, and community-based agencies
  • Demonstrated supervisory, management, and collaboration skills
  • Proven experience successfully implementing and leading change in a complex healthcare environment
Accountabilities
  • Lead system programmatic growth and alignment initiatives
  • Collaborate with LHS Leadership to ensure successful implementation of key initiatives and strategies
  • Direct system SL Strategic Planning Initiatives
  • Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of strategies aimed at reducing clinical variation in the division
  • Financial oversight for Service Line budgets and Capital initiatives
