Job Overview

The primary objective of this role is to collaborate as a key team member in establishing and nurturing customer accounts while fostering enduring business relationships, predominantly within the Industrial sector. Delivering outstanding customer service, coordinating comprehensive support for clients, and acting as a solution provider for their operational needs will be central to this position.

Compensation Structure

Base salary complemented by performance-based commission and bonus opportunities. Additional benefits include vehicle allowance, fuel card, mobile device, computer, safety gear, and more.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to the essential functions outlined below, all team members are expected to perform tasks as directed by management.

  • Achieve or surpass sales and profit targets established in collaboration with Sales Management.
  • Build and maintain professional sales relationships with designated Industrial accounts.
  • Develop and oversee customer relationships within assigned territories to secure strategic positioning with decision-makers, retain existing revenue, and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM systems to effectively track and cultivate customer interactions and prospects.
  • Maintain and update customer pricing and provide product and service quotations as necessary.
  • Collaborate with vendor partners to enhance profitability and expand product offerings in the market.
  • Promote the company's capabilities and programs to clients.
  • Work closely with Industrial Services and Technical teams to maximize wallet share opportunities within the current and prospective customer base.
  • Coordinate order processing and customer service requirements with internal teams.
  • Adhere to all company policies, regulations, and applicable safety protocols.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times, ensuring quality service.
  • Continuously enhance sales and product knowledge to maintain a professional image.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Support corporate initiatives, goals, and programs.
Qualifications
  • Preferred 5-10 years of relevant Industrial experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of lubricants is advantageous (certifications are a plus).
  • Familiarity with applications and equipment for Industrial uses.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to manage large accounts with multiple contacts and service needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Effective training and negotiation skills, capable of constructively addressing conflicts.
  • Proven track record of translating business needs into growth opportunities.
  • Basic proficiency in email and PC applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Understanding of common business practices related to purchasing, pricing, terms, shipping, taxes, and payments for products and services.
  • Ability to learn and retain product and application information to provide accurate solutions and recommendations to clients.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, competitive, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and a proven sales record.
  • Ability to analyze issues and formulate effective solutions.
  • Leadership capabilities, with the ability to train and mentor fellow associates.
Performance Metrics
  • Sales and Gross Profit performance.
  • Improvement in gallons sold and overall profitability.
  • Growth in Industrial/Reliability services.
  • Acquisition of new accounts or customer locations.
  • Ongoing assessment of sales against budgeted targets.
  • Customer feedback and satisfaction.

Travel Requirements

Travel within the sales territory is mandatory; additional travel may be required as necessary.
