Position Overview


Under guidance, specialized expertise and skills acquired through training and experience are utilized to manage commercial and/or retail loans and prepare necessary closing documentation.

As a Team Supervisor, you will provide daily oversight in directing the work activities of team members while offering training in established policies and procedures.

You will assist management in addressing complex and escalated matters.

Support is provided to perform diverse tasks that are moderately challenging, requiring some assessment, creativity, and ingenuity to make informed decisions.

Frequent interaction with both internal and external clients is essential to gather, clarify, or provide information and to identify, investigate, and resolve issues.


Key Responsibilities

  • Directs daily operations in guiding the work tasks of team members and offers training in policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with management to enhance future business workflows and documents current and future processes.
  • Assists in onboarding new team members, tracking their progress and achievements. Responsible for reporting successes and identifying challenges while seeking management input.
  • Monitors the vacation schedule and ensures coverage of workflows during team members' absences.
  • Handles borrower and/or advisor escalations, coordinating with management to communicate and resolve issues.
  • Confirms loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepares and compiles documents for loan closings and submits them for review.
  • Prepares or reviews Good Faith Estimates of Closing Costs, Regulation Z disclosures, and other required consumer disclosures for accuracy.
  • Conducts initial credit analysis submissions via automated underwriting as needed.
  • Schedules and coordinates loan closings, ensuring loan proceeds are cleared for disbursement.
  • Prepares compliance and accounting records and reports as required by management and regulatory bodies.
  • Performs advanced calculations related to loans.
  • Assists clients with complex inquiries or issues.
  • Conducts pre-closing, post-closing, or whole loan due diligence reviews of legal agreements and other closing documents to ensure compliance with loan commitments.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of loan processing policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

  • Concepts, practices, and procedures related to commercial and retail loan documentation and processing.
  • Banking and finance principles.
  • Financial markets and products.
  • Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines.
  • Multi-state real estate, closing, and title practices.
  • Federal and state lending regulations.
  • Loan origination software systems.

Skill in

  • Processing complex loan applications.
  • Verifying loan applications and accompanying documents.
  • Preparing loan closing packages.
  • Generating records and reports.
  • Executing advanced loan calculations.
  • Utilizing standard office equipment and software applications effectively.

Ability to

  • Read, interpret, analyze, and apply information from loan application documents.
  • Lead and mentor team members while providing training and support.
  • Manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Guide others in managing stressful situations while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Stay current with loan processing policies and procedures.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Education/Previous Experience

  • High School diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in loan processing.
