Job Overview

Under guidance, utilize specialized expertise and skills acquired through training and experience to manage commercial and/or retail loans and prepare closing documentation.

As a Team Supervisor, you will provide daily direction in overseeing the work activities of team members and offer training in policies and procedures.

Assist management in addressing complex and escalated matters.

Support is provided to execute varied tasks that are somewhat challenging, requiring evaluation, creativity, and ingenuity to make moderately complex decisions.

Frequent interaction with internal and external clients is essential to obtain, clarify, or deliver information and to identify, investigate, and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations in guiding the work activities of team members and delivering training in policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance future business processes and document current and future workflows.
  • Assist in onboarding new team members, tracking their progress and achievements. Responsible for reporting successes and identifying issues while seeking management support.
  • Oversee the vacation schedule and ensure coverage of pipelines during team members' absences.
  • Manage borrower and/or Advisor escalations, coordinating with management to communicate and resolve issues.
  • Verify loan applications and accompanying documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and compile documents for loan closings and submit for review.
  • Review and prepare Good Faith Estimates of Closing Costs, Regulation Z disclosures, and other consumer-required disclosures for accuracy.
  • Conduct initial credit analysis submissions via automated underwriting as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate loan closings, ensuring clearance for disbursement of loan proceeds.
  • Prepare compliance and accounting records and reports as required by management and regulatory bodies.
  • Perform advanced loan calculations.
  • Assist clients with complex inquiries or issues.
  • Conduct pre-closing, post-closing, or whole loan due diligence reviews of legal agreements and other closing documents in accordance with loan commitments.
  • Stay updated on loan processing policies and procedures.
  • Execute other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures related to commercial and retail loan documentation and processing.
  • Knowledge of banking and finance principles.
  • Familiarity with financial markets and products.
  • Awareness of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines.
  • Understanding of multi-state real estate, closing, and title practices.
  • Knowledge of federal and state lending regulations.
  • Proficiency in loan origination software.
Skills in:

  • Processing complex loan applications.
  • Verifying loan applications and supporting documents.
  • Preparing loan closing packages.
  • Compiling records and reports.
  • Executing advanced loan calculations.
  • Operating standard office equipment and utilizing required software applications.
Ability to:

  • Read, interpret, analyze, and apply information from loan application documents.
  • Lead and mentor team members effectively.
  • Work under pressure on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Guide others in managing stressful situations while providing exceptional customer service in a composed and professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Stay current with loan processing policies and procedures.
Educational and Experience Requirements

  • High School diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in loan processing.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
