Position Overview


In this role, you will utilize specialized expertise and skills acquired through training and experience to manage the processing of commercial and retail loans, ensuring the preparation of closing documentation is accurate and timely.

As a Team Supervisor, you will provide daily guidance to team members, directing their work and offering training on company policies and procedures.

You will assist management in addressing complex and escalated matters.

Your role will involve performing varied tasks that may be challenging, requiring evaluation, creativity, and sound judgment to make moderately complex decisions.

Extensive interaction with both internal and external clients will be necessary to gather, clarify, or disseminate information and to identify, investigate, and resolve issues.


Key Responsibilities

  • Guide team members in their daily tasks and provide training on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance future business processes and document current and prospective workflows.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees, tracking their progress, and reporting on achievements while addressing any concerns with management.
  • Oversee the vacation schedule and ensure adequate coverage for loan processing tasks during absences.
  • Manage escalated inquiries from borrowers or advisors, coordinating with management to communicate and resolve issues.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of loan applications and accompanying documentation.
  • Compile and prepare documents for loan closings, submitting them for review.
  • Prepare or review Good Faith Estimates of Closing Costs, Regulation Z disclosures, and other consumer regulation disclosures for accuracy.
  • Conduct initial credit analysis submissions via automated underwriting as required.
  • Schedule and coordinate loan closings, ensuring all loan proceeds are cleared for disbursement.
  • Prepare compliance and accounting records and reports as mandated by management and regulatory bodies.
  • Perform advanced calculations related to loans.
  • Assist clients with complex inquiries or issues.
  • Conduct pre-closing, post-closing, or whole loan due diligence reviews of legal agreements and other closing documents in accordance with loan commitments.
  • Stay updated on loan processing policies and procedures.
  • Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Concepts, practices, and procedures related to commercial and retail loan documentation and processing.
  • Banking and finance principles.
  • Financial markets and products.
  • Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines.
  • Multi-state real estate, closing, and title practices.

  • Loan origination software applications.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Education/Previous Experience

  • High School diploma with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in loan processing.
