Job Summary

Under supervision, specialized knowledge and skills obtained through training and experience are used to process commercial and/or retail loans and prepare closing documents. As a Team Lead, provides day-to-day direction in leading the work tasks of team members and providing training in policies and procedures. Assists leadership in handling complex and escalated issues. Guidance is provided to perform varied work that is somewhat difficult requiring some evaluation, originality and ingenuity to make moderately complex decisions. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify or provide facts and information and to identify, research, and resolve problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Provides day-to-day direction in leading the work tasks of team members and providing training in policies and procedures.

•Works with leadership to improve future business processes and completes documentation of current/future business processes.

•Assists in training new associates, and documenting their progress and milestones. Responsible for reporting successes, and identifying concerns and seeking Management guidance.

•Responsible for monitoring the vacation calendar and working to cover pipelines while processors are out of the office.

•Manage borrower and/or Advisor escalations. Coordinate with leadership to communicate and find resolutions.

•Verifies loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.

•Prepares and compiles documents for loan closing and submits for review.

•Prepares or reviews for accuracy, Good Faith Estimates of Closing Costs, Regulation Z disclosures, and other disclosures required by consumer regulation.

•Performs initial credit analysis submission via automated underwriting, as requested.

•Schedules, coordinates loan closings, and clears for disbursement loan proceeds.

•Prepares compliance and accounting records and reports, as required by management and regulatory agencies.

•Performs advanced loan calculations.

•Assists customers with complex inquires or problems.

•Performs pre-closing, post-closing, or whole loan due diligence review of legal agreements and other closing documents to terms of loan commitment.

•Maintains currency in loan processing policies and procedures.

•Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

•Concepts, practices and procedures of commercial and retail loan documentation and processing.

•Principles of banking and finance.

•Financial markets and products.

•Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Underwriting guideline

•Multi-state real estate, closing, and title practices.

•Federal and State lending laws.

•Loan origination software packages.

Skill in

•Processing the most complex loan applications.

•Verifying loan applications and supporting documents.

•Preparing loan closing packages.

•Preparing records and reports.

•Performing advanced loan calculations.

•Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Education/Previous Experience

•High School diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of loan processing experience.
