Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures
  • Assess, treat, care, and evaluate patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities
  • Exercise sound judgment and developed clinical skills to provide input to and implement the patient's plan of care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety
Requirements
  • Graduate of a two-year respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
  • RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
  • RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist certification within 90 days
  • CRT-Certified Respiratory Therapist certification within 90 days
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR)
Work Environment

This is a part-time position with a variable schedule, working 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing assignments and working within standardized policies and procedures.
