Job Title: Respiratory Therapist II

Job Summary:

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist II to join our team. As a key member of our respiratory care department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced respiratory care to patients, including ventilation management and oxygen therapy.
  • Assess patient respiratory status and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in education and training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a School of Respiratory Therapy recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • RCP-Respiratory Care Practitioner certification.
  • RRT-Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
  • NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification within 90 days of hire.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Two years of experience in an acute care hospital with extensive experience in Adult Intensive Care, and/or Neonatal Intensive Care.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent working knowledge of scope of respiratory care responsibilities and Respiratory Care Department Policies and Procedures.
  • Good working knowledge of Respiratory Care Act, Title-22 Regulations, Joint Commission guidelines, and general hospital administration practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of consumer rights, work harassment issues, report mechanisms for abuse and neglect, domestic, child, elder.
