Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist II provides routine respiratory care services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations. This includes the provision of inhaled medication, bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, noninvasive ventilation, and arterial blood gas analysis. The Respiratory Therapist II may also assist physicians with complex procedures such as endotracheal intubation and therapeutic bronchoscopy as needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide routine respiratory care services for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
Administer inhaled medication, bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, noninvasive ventilation, and arterial blood gas analysis
Assist physicians with complex procedures such as endotracheal intubation and therapeutic bronchoscopy as needed

Qualifications:

One (1) year of experience as a respiratory therapist
Successful completion of accredited school of respiratory therapy and associated clinical rotations
Associate of Science degree
Must possess a valid State of California License or Permit Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification

Preferred:

Two (2) years of experience as a respiratory therapist experience
