Job Summary:

The Department of Accounting within the College of Business invites applications for three positions as Assistant Professor of Practice specializing in Business Law and Accounting. The undergraduate curriculum encompasses a comprehensive overview of the legal landscape affecting business, including the judicial system, contracts, property rights, agency relationships, tort law, employment legislation, and related subjects. Additional specialized courses such as Business Law for Accountants, International Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Tax Law are offered at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Required Qualifications:

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree is required at the time of joining the faculty.
2. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in legal fields pertinent to business.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possession of accounting certifications (e.g., CPA) or a Master's degree in Accounting and/or Taxation is highly advantageous.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities associated with this position include:
a) Instructing undergraduate and graduate courses; engaging in curriculum and course development while demonstrating a commitment to student success.
b) Participating in customary service commitments to the department, college, university, community, and/or profession.
c) Upholding the AACSB faculty qualification criteria as defined by the Department.
