The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service, and will contribute to the school's mission of providing a world-class legal education.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in their area of expertise, including preparing course materials, leading classes, and assessing student performance.
- Scholarship: The candidate will be expected to engage in research and scholarship, producing original contributions that advance the field of law, and participating in academic conferences and workshops.
- Service: The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the governance of the law school, contribute to curricular development, and engage in other institutional responsibilities as required by the ABA law school accreditation standards.
- A terminal degree in a related field, such as a J.D., LL.M., J.S.D., S.J.D., Ph.D., or D.Phil.
- Some experience with legal scholarship, including published or in-progress scholarly works.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and interest in one or more areas of law.
- Exceptional research and writing abilities.
- Highly developed analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
- Some previous teaching or instructional experience in an institution of higher education.
- Prior clerkship and/or law practice experience.
- Prior policy work.
- Prior experience with interdisciplinary scholarship.
- Some knowledge of economics or application of economic principles to law.
