Job Summary:

The Department of Accounting within the College of Business invites applications for multiple positions as Assistant Professor of Practice in Business Law/Accounting. The undergraduate curriculum encompasses a comprehensive overview of the legal framework surrounding business, including judicial systems, contracts, property rights, agency, tort law, employment regulations, and related subjects. Additional specialized courses such as Business Law for Accountants, International Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Tax Law are offered at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Required Qualifications:

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree is required upon joining the faculty.
2. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in legal sectors related to business.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possession of accounting certifications (e.g., CPA) or a Master’s degree in Accounting and/or Taxation is highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include:
a) Delivering undergraduate and graduate courses; engaging in curriculum development and demonstrating a commitment to student achievement.
b) Participating in customary service commitments to the department, college, university, community, and/or profession.
c) Upholding the AACSB faculty qualification standards as defined by the Department.
