Job Summary:

The Department of Accounting within the College of Business is seeking applications for multiple positions as Assistant Professor of Practice in the realm of Business Law and Accounting. The undergraduate curriculum encompasses a comprehensive overview of the legal framework governing business, including judicial systems, contracts, property rights, agency relationships, tort law, employment legislation, and related subjects. Additional specialized courses such as Business Law for Accountants, International Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Tax Law are offered at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Required Qualifications:

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent qualification is required at the time of appointment. 2. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in legal fields pertinent to business.

Preferred Qualifications:

Possession of certifications in Accounting (e.g., CPA) or a Master's degree in Accounting and/or Taxation is highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include:
a) Delivering undergraduate and graduate courses; engaging in curriculum and course development while fostering student success.
b) Participating in customary service commitments to the department, college, university, community, and/or profession.
c) Upholding the AACSB faculty qualification standards as defined by the Department.
