Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Help Desk support for iSeries Applications and Tape Backups. Utilize a Ticketing System (Service-Now) to assist users via Phone, Email, or Microsoft Teams in resolving issues.
  • Conduct iSeries IPL Maintenance on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain organization of all Onsite and Offsite Tape Logs on a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly basis.
  • Oversee Offsite Tape Storage in collaboration with Iron Mountain.
  • Monitor and update IBM Tape Libraries and manage Tape Inventory.
  • Engage in Data Center Alarm Monitoring, including Water Detection, UPS, and Fire suppression systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an Admin or Operator with IBM iSeries.
  • Familiarity with IBM Green Screen.
  • Knowledge of Tape Library Backup Systems and data restoration processes.
  • Help Desk Level 1 experience.
  • Proficiency with Ticketing Systems.
  • Capability to manage and escalate Trouble Tickets as necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
