Position Overview

Are you a self-motivated individual with a knack for mechanics who prioritizes customer satisfaction and safety? Join our team as a Medical Equipment Technician. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting essential hospital functions by installing various medical equipment, including sterilizers, surgical lights, and utility connections, in settings such as operating rooms and sterile processing departments. Our technicians are committed to delivering exceptional customer service from the installation phase through to post-installation support, ensuring continuous care for patients.

Your responsibilities will require travel within a specified region to multiple installation sites, utilizing a company vehicle or air travel. Travel arrangements are typically made 1-2 weeks in advance for effective project planning. Expect approximately 80% travel, which may include day trips, overnight stays, and extended trips lasting up to a week. Work hours will vary based on customer requirements, and while overtime may occur, it is not guaranteed.

This position is remote-based and customer-facing. To effectively serve our clients in the designated territory, candidates must reside in specific states.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain medical equipment in various healthcare settings.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the installation process.
  • Travel to installation sites as required, managing time effectively.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for installed equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital and customer credentialing requirements.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of recent mechanical experience in construction or HVAC installation/repair, or an Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in plumbing and electrical work.
  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer interaction.
  • Proficient in computer usage and Windows software.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential travel outside of standard business hours.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% overnight.
