Position Overview:

As a Compliance Actuary for Regulatory Filings, you will report directly to the Team Leader of North America Product Lifecycle & Innovation. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with subject matter experts across various business lines to formulate rates, establish guidelines, develop rating plans, and create strategies for regulatory submissions pertaining to both new and existing commercial offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your actuarial expertise and understanding of market dynamics to assist management in crafting effective business strategies and addressing intricate business challenges.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the commercial insurance sector; must be an accredited member of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Preferred Skills:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (preferably a Master's) in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Active membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society in good standing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in actuarial pricing within the United States, including significant exposure to standard commercial lines rate filings in jurisdictions with intricate actuarial and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to foster and maintain robust working relationships with both internal teams and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office, including VBA, and relevant expert systems such as Matlab, R, SQL, Java, etc.).
  • Expertise in identifying patterns and root causes within complex datasets and processes, enabling you to distill key issues and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in influencing and motivating colleagues without direct authority.
