We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to oversee the compliance functions related to HUD and LURA portfolios. This position is crucial for maintaining adherence to regulatory standards and ensuring that our operations align with the latest HUD guidelines. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the ability to work independently while collaborating with teams across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and organize all necessary documentation for the HUD 2530 Management approval process.
  • Manage the 9832 Management Entity Profile and 9839b Project Owner's/Management Agent's Certification.
  • Serve as the administrator for the setup and maintenance of Secure Systems user accounts.
  • Oversee and respond to all annual MOR and REAC reviews, ensuring compliance and readiness.
  • Act as the primary contact for associates and external HUD offices regarding compliance matters.
  • Submit HUD OCAF increase approvals in collaboration with contract administrators.
  • Facilitate the preparation of annual financial documents for client reporting.
  • Maintain comprehensive records within the HUD Tracker system.
  • Ensure all properties are well-informed about HUD programs and compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance to on-site staff regarding HUD compliance and policies.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training sessions to enhance compliance knowledge.
  • Maintain compliance with all required certifications related to HUD.
  • Support various departments on projects as permitted by the compliance calendar.
  • Stay updated on relevant HUD regulations and communicate changes to property management staff.
  • Collaborate closely with property management teams to address compliance-related issues and provide necessary support.
  • Oversee annual green program audits as mandated by HUD requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of tenant files to ensure compliance with HUD regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HUD compliance.
  • Familiarity with HUD's APPS system is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of HUD market rate and LURA compliance.
  • Availability to work on-site during standard business hours.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
