Position Overview

Valiant Enterprises LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to manage compliance functions within the HUD and LURA portfolio. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.

This role is based at our headquarters and involves collaboration with colleagues nationwide. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and implementing updates to HUD and LURA regulations, ensuring accurate maintenance of tenant files and digital records in accordance with compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather necessary documentation for the HUD 2530 Management approval process.
  • Oversee the 9832 Management Entity Profile and 9839b Project Owner's/Management Agent's Certification.
  • Administer user setup and maintenance for Secure Systems.
  • Manage and respond to annual MOR and REAC reviews.
  • Coordinate annual MOR and REAC reviews as needed.
  • Act as the primary contact for associates and external HUD offices.
  • Submit HUD OCAF increase approvals in collaboration with contract administrators.
  • Facilitate the preparation of annual financial documents for client reporting.
  • Maintain comprehensive records in the HUD Tracker.
  • Ensure all properties are well-informed about HUD programs.
  • Provide guidance to on-site staff regarding HUD compliance and policies.
  • Participate in training sessions provided by the company.
  • Maintain compliance with all required certifications.
  • Support various departments on projects as compliance schedules allow.
  • Stay updated on relevant HUD regulations and communicate changes to property management teams.
  • Collaborate closely with property management to address compliance-related issues.
  • Oversee annual green program audits as required by HUD.
  • Conduct regular audits of tenant files to ensure adherence to HUD guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HUD compliance.
  • Familiarity with HUD's APPS system.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of HUD market rate and LURA compliance.
  • Ability to work from the Dallas headquarters during standard business hours.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
