General Job Overview:

Responsible for ensuring cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the assigned school facility, including its surroundings and contents. This role is vital in fostering a healthy and welcoming environment for all users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
  • Follow designated work schedules and responsibilities, including special projects and seasonal upkeep.
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, waste disposal, restroom sanitation, and other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Assist staff with temporary assignments and modify schedules for special facility usage.
  • Support school events, athletic activities, and community usage through custodial services.
  • Maintain precise maintenance logs, report repairs in a timely manner, and respond to requests from the Director.
Additional Duties:
  • Complete tasks assigned by the Maintenance Director or their representative.
Working Conditions:

Occasional: Exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and evening events; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Periodic: Interaction with severe weather, heavy equipment, and common illnesses.

Frequent: Handling bodily fluids, extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
