Program Manager Infection Prevention Job Summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager Infection Prevention to support our Quality Management Department. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing infection prevention strategies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote infection prevention practices
  • Monitor and analyze infection rates and develop plans to improve
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Biology, or related field
  • Master's Degree in Public Health preferred
  • 2 years of acute care hospital experience or infectious disease epidemiology experience
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • RN - Registered Nurse or MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist or M(ASCP) - Microbiology certification
  • CIC - Certification in Infection Prevention and Control
