Texas Health Resources is seeking a Program Manager Infection Prevention to support our Quality Management Department.


Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Program Manager Infection Prevention to join our team at Texas Health Denton. As a key member of our Quality Management Department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing infection prevention strategies to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures
Conduct surveillance and audits to identify areas for improvement
Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention practices
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement infection prevention strategies

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Biology, or related field required.
Master's Degree in Public Health or related field preferred.
2 years of experience in acute care hospital or infectious disease epidemiology required. Supervisory experience preferred.
Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Microbiologist (M) preferred.
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) required.

Skills

Knowledge and experience in areas of patient care practices, microbiology, asepsis, disinfection/sterilization, adult education, infectious diseases, communication, computer and data management, program administration, and epidemiology preferred.
Completion of basic infection prevention training course within one year of entering profession required.
