As a key member of our Recreational Sports Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff while using our aquatic facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency situations by preventing and minimizing hazards while enforcing all pool rules.
- Manage the aquatic facilities' general care and maintenance of pools, including enforcing water safety and actively scanning the pool area.
- Provide strong communication and organizational skills to ensure a positive and safe experience for all users.
- Exemplify customer service by controlling misconduct or managing conflict situations.
Requirements:
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to swim and tread water competently (demonstrated at skill screening).
- Ability to perform physical portions of the job (lifting, stooping, kneeling, swimming, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification.
- American Red Cross Administering Emergency Oxygen certification.
