Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Office Specialist to join our team at Texas Health Denton. As an Office Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely responses to patient inquiries, utilizing electronic and paper resource materials.
  • Assess requests and respond promptly, ensuring seamless patient interactions.
  • Accurately gather demographic information to ensure electronic health record integrity.
  • Identify correct network coverage and obtain/validate healthcare benefits and/or pre-certification for applicable tests and/or procedures.
  • Ensure regulatory consents are signed by the appropriate parties.
  • Engage with patients in understanding their financial obligations and prepare estimates to collect co-payments, self-pay deposits, and patient balances.
  • Complete all payor and government required elements correctly.
  • Participate in staff meetings, process improvement, and special projects.
  • Maintain daily Epic work queue and personal Employee Scorecard Dashboard.

Requirements:

  • 2 Years Professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required.
  • Excellent data entry, numeric, typing, and computer navigational skills, with attention to details.
  • Proficient computer skills, medical terminology, Epic, Microsoft Office, and assorted software programs.
  • Exceptional listening, interpersonal, and communication skills, and professional, pleasant, and respectful telephone etiquette.
