The Position
The Senior Finance Business Analyst (Lead) is a pivotal full-time role dedicated to scrutinizing financial system challenges and deploying effective solutions within our corporate technology frameworks. This position plays a crucial part in supporting the finance user community by gathering, configuring, and managing requirements and specifications, as well as executing various testing methodologies (including test plans, scripts, unit testing, and user acceptance) to facilitate development and validate outcomes.
The Finance Business Analyst will report directly to the head of Corporate Applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the requirements gathering, product configuration, and user acceptance testing for finance-related systems.
- Assess solution alternatives, configure, demonstrate, and provide recommendations within the context of finance D365 F&O and other technological platforms.
- Collaborate with global finance teams to deliver scalable product configurations and support across various regions.
- Oversee small-scale projects associated with finance platforms.
- Conduct requirements review and design sessions with business stakeholders.
- Maintain Business Use Cases and Process Flows in response to requirement modifications.
- Act as the primary liaison between business units and the technical solutions delivery team.
- Present engaging, informative, and well-structured technical and business presentations.
- Provide daily and weekly progress updates.
- Train users on system usage according to best practice processes.
- Offer ongoing business support.
Required Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience implementing D365 F&O/AX ERP applications, with in-depth knowledge of finance accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable, and finance reporting modules.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, particularly in data validation, pivot tables, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills.
- Expertise in business workflow modeling.
- Strong capabilities in project and product planning.
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
- Thorough knowledge of SOX compliance.
- Solid grasp of source control, unit testing, and continuous integration practices.
- In-depth understanding of relational database design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with planning tools such as Oracle HFM and Workiva.
- Familiarity with SAP Concur.
- Proficiency in SQL and other query languages.
- Experience with Lean and Agile (Scrum) development methodologies.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this role ranges from $143,000 to $178,000. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonuses. Salary may vary based on relevant experience, role duration, business sector, and geographic location, among other factors.
