What are we seeking in our Business Analyst?
Job Title: Business Analyst
Employment Type: Contract/Remote
Compensation: $43-$50/hr, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- The Business Analyst is tasked with conducting comprehensive business systems analysis, focusing on applying analytical methodologies to enhance the planning, design, and execution of innovative business information systems and processes that align with the needs of client organizations.
- This role involves performing needs assessments to identify opportunities for new or refined business process solutions; executing business process reengineering; conducting feasibility studies and trade-off analyses; serving as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders; and collaborating with clients to clarify, refine, and specify functional requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Developing overall functional and systems requirements and specifications is essential.
- Preparing business cases for IT solution applications, defining system scope and objectives, estimating costs for new or modified systems, and ensuring the integration of all system components, including policies, procedures, training materials, databases, software, and hardware, while conducting performance and reliability testing of new solutions.
- Planning and participating in systems implementation and providing post-implementation support, ensuring strict adherence to information security and assurance policies throughout the systems analysis process.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is required. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience applying analytical processes in IT projects, with at least three (3) years specifically in business systems analysis and design.
Essential Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft's Dynamics 365 and Azure Cloud stack.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in eliciting and documenting existing business processes using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., flowcharts, swim lane diagrams, data flow diagrams, use case diagrams).
- Three years of experience capturing requirements via Azure throughout the development lifecycle.
- Three years of experience analyzing documented processes to identify optimization opportunities and the ability to document proposed improvements (to-be processes) leveraging Dynamics 365 and Azure capabilities.
- Strong proficiency in crafting clear, concise, and well-structured business and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
